🐚behind the scenes🐚
When I begin to design for a new season, I try to take some time to keep space for inspiration. This season I felt really drawn to the nostalgia of my own childhood. When I began to think about my summers as a child, I was immediately taken back to visits at my late grandparents’ home in NJ. The beach, their home, all the magic that summer pasts have held. The sounds and smells. The walks on the boardwalk and to get ice cream. All the simple little things I could never have known would mean everything now. When I visit the ocean these days, it’s almost as if I am transported back to my youth… with them. ❤️
Any card or letter I have from my grandparents was always signed “Oceans of Love”, so I thought it only fitting that each summer pocket pal would come packaged in a little drawstring bag and a special custom sequin confetti mix. It will also have a little sticker with “Oceans of Love” written on it. Call it a tribute to them, or a special way to pass their legacy on with each order I package this summer. I hope it will sprinkle a little childlike magic into each of your summers. May you too be transported to a time or place that makes your heart feel like sunshine. 🌊
